Terrain Advocate

Victoria is a Medical Assistant with seven years of experience working in naturopathic medical offices as a general medical office assistant and phlebotomist. For the past four years she has worked as the direct assistant to Dr. Niki Young, a naturopathic oncology support specialist. She was motivated to work closely with Dr. Young in her care of patients with cancer due to an extensive familial history of cancer diagnoses, having watched her grandmother and great aunt battle against the disease, and her maternal aunt unfortunately lose this battle. Frustrated by the perceived lack of humanity and personalized care provided by the western medicine world, she began to research and study a more holistic approach to treatment. This journey led her to the work of Dr. Nasha Winters and the Metabolic Approach to Cancer. After witnessing the profound effects the metabolic approach has on not only the physical but also mental and emotional aspects of patient life she felt compelled to pursue Terrain Advocate Training with Nasha Winters, ND, FABNO and the Metabolic Terrain Institute of Health (MTIH).

Seeking to provide patients with comprehensive and personalized care Victoria acts as not only a bridge of communication between doctor and patient, but also as a source of elaboration on the often confusing day to day intricacies of navigating life with a cancer diagnosis. Utilizing her compassionate nature to motivate clients and patients she interacts with daily, she strives to meet people where they are in order to elevate them to where they need to be. Her love of cooking and passion for food has led her to delve deep into the world of healthful and ketogenic cooking, because above all she believes food should taste as good as it makes you feel. When she isn’t trying new recipes, obsessing over which plant store has the next elusive or rare addition to her succulent collection, or playing with her four cats Victoria spends her time consulting with clients virtually and in-person in Fair Oaks, California.
